Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students as well as part-time employment. Lennox was not happy with the quality of her skills compared to the other students at Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox played the flute in the band Dragons Playground. She quit the group shortly before their appearance in I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist to The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva that was out around 1992. This album became a huge achievement, both in terms of sales and critically acclaimed. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece of her "Now I let you go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first self-released album. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to achieve international fame in 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career, releasing her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs, such as Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio, features cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums and the compilation album have a lot of songs.
